VSCode + some plugins
QtCreator is nice and free and you can decide what to install and what not.
just install the Xcode command line tools, that will give you apple clang, then use a light text editor of your choice
Use MacPorts or Homebrew to install a compiler. Edit in emacs.
I use CLion on my MBP and it works well. It's free if you're a student. Using CMake might be heavy handed for your purposes though.
I never tried it but apparently docker is a good solution
I believe VSCode is now a full IDE within browser
nah, u just need vim
