Don't make me download QuickTime, man.

Mikhailing

Where did this come from

DJ_Pop_Tart

A dumb teenaged Lakers fan concern trolling the Suns because his beloved Lakers are dissapointing

cornathanboy

maybe i'm about to overdose on hopium but i'm hoping that this baptism of fire for the bench gang will make them better in the long run. big props to the guys for being competitive in the 2nd and 3rd. the road to .500 continues!

edtehgar

Maybe we're a good team?

beer_down

Maybe we're just better? -JJ Watt

timshel_life

*Maybe it's Maybelline?* -Corporate America

tisdue

*Maybe it's Valvoline?* -Jiffy Lube

CCCPironCurtain

Impossible. We lost to a mediocre Kings team

Ginglees

And a declining Lillard!

myusernamebarelyfits

But we've played nothing but bums!

Shark_Train

Strategic W/L ratio reduction.

MyTwoTotroises

Maybe we're just fucking better

djlaw919

I don't know. How were you fucking before?

mamaljurray

I mean, you are. But not because you beat the nuggets g-league squad lol

cinephile_gooner34

You’re a good team, but how lucky can you be to face a Jokic-less Nuggets after facing a Doncic-less Mavs twice?

ShwiftyCardinal

We don't have Frank Kaminsky, they should consider themselves lucky

dacannonator

True bro, we should have asked Adam silver to postpone these games

SportsMasterGeneral

Damn we should not count those wins then, Suns on a 9 game winning streak now

mr-e94

How long are yall gonna pull the "lucky" card? It's getting old. Maybe we're just better.

DapperUnion

And we haven’t had Ayton for over half this streak either. Find a new take. You beat who’s in front of you

sunsbr

Suns team looking like the spurs from 2014 everyone is contributing many players who can score +10 any game, they are playing team basketball wish they played like that in the finals.

OyeCorazon

you know that 2014 squad is fresh off a finals loss right? hmmmmm....

_madcat

Don’t do that to me, don’t give me hope

kaostriker

Pain we have been mundered

davidthemedic

At least people are only going to be talking about the laker game.

ChickenLiverNuts

this is what its like when GOAT big men miss a few games. We are 1-6 since Embiid got Covid. 8-2, first seed, good vibes, Simmons in the rear view... then the fire nation attacked. 9-8, tenth seed. sad face

bigleaguechyut

*payne

kaostriker

:( gg

szabozalan

You were missing like 3 starters? I mean that was expected at this point I believe.

kaostriker

True lol

95castles

I just spent two minutes trying to figure out what mundered meant. You're damn right you've been mundered! Nah but for reals, hopefully you guys get healthy soon!

kaostriker

MPJ likely season ended :( but yeah thanks. Battles between you guys are fun when both team are healthy

destructive_optimism

48-28 first quarter, whew, that was a thing of beauty. When 2 of Cam Johnson, Crowder, and Mikal are hitting their shots, the Suns are tough to beat. When all 3 are hitting, like in the first? Good luck, lol This was one of Ayton’s better games of the season, I love to see the confidence on the jumpshot. Once again, I wish he’d get more offensive focus in the 2nd half, but the Suns didn’t really need it at that point. He always shows up against Denver. Booker and CP3 are both clearly All NBA players this short time into the season, and not much else is needed to be said Cam Johnson played fantastic all game, start to finish, on both sides. When he’s hitting his shots, running the break, and attacking the basket, he opens up the rest of the Sun’s offense so much. Him and Mikal is such an incredible one-two off ball punch in games like this. 12 in a row, more than any win streak from last season… just 16 games in. Whew. This Suns team is undeniably a contender, and honestly they should be considered a top 3 contender at least imo

HesiPullup

Yeah Ayton definitely started playing less aggressively once fouls became an issue. But still played a great game

Scoolfish

Great win and all that but something I took away again from the Nuggets is how Jeff Green is causing match up problems for the Suns right now. The small ball five role is easily the biggest hole on the roster. With McGee, Suns want him in drop but Green pops so then it becomes really rough on the point of attack defender to close off that pass and recover. Suns made some interesting adjustments to it but kind of hard to really judge given they were up big most of the game. That attack for Denver becomes a lot more deadly for Denver if Murray is the ball handler. I hope the Suns can leave San Antonio tomorrow with Thad Young because that would help solve that problem.

Omome

IMO Suns should have kept Torrey Craig on the team. I was impressed by his playoff performance last season and couldn't believe Suns just let him walk.

szabozalan

He wanted a bigger role. The guy was a fan favorite, but did not want to come back.

magic_spam

The Suns are now 13-3 in weeks where Jamaal Murray gets 0 minutes Truly the Titan between the Suns and a second finals appearance

SportsMasterGeneral

That was one of the generally worst reffed games I’ve ever seen

Betaateb

Just horrible calls on both ends of the court all game long, and they decided they hadn't be shit enough at their jobs yet so they throw in the softest ejection in the history of the league to top it off.

ClassifiedClothing

Gordon should not have been ejected at all. But, as I said in our GT, the refs had definitely heard about what happened in Detroit, so I think they got trigger happy.

Just_A_Glitch

Thankfully, Jamal Murray wasn't playing tonight. No way we win by 30 if Jamal Murray was playing. They're cursed. I hate seeing the Nuggets as crippled and broken down as they are right now. When the Suns and Mavs were both garbage, Murray and Jokic gave me great, entertaining basketball to follow, so I always want to see them succeed. Still, great play by our sunny boys. Let off the gas a little bit and quickly turned it back on when we needed to. Twelve straight y'all, hope everyone's hungry for pasta. GG Denver. Hopefully your squad gets healthy soon.

antunezn0n0

Kill me. When are we inventing synthetic muscles so injuries don't ruin another year of our team

Casting_Doubt

This sub loves piling on the Lakers, but why is no one talking about the defending Western Conference Champion Suns being 1-3? I didn’t realize until now that the Suns are currently 1-3.. why is no-one talking about this? They lost to a mediocre Kings team a couple days ago and nearly lost by 30 pts to the Trailblazers with a struggling Damian Lillard. And from what I know they’re just about fully healthy. For anyone actively watching the Suns this season, what’s the main reason for the early season struggles? You would think they’d have a bunch of momentum to start the season after their amazing Finals run..

mrsunsfan

That aged badly

NuclearMinimalism

I don’t think it’s right that the guy with Lakers flair has the one further up. We should change that.

justin-meyer

Where is copy pasta

ItsAllJokes1

Nuggets without Jokic are the Process Sixers lol He won't get it because of team record but in terms of impact he's the MVP in my opinion

Classics22

… they literally played without their 3 best players lmao. How many teams aren’t awful without their three best players

ItsAllJokes1

Jokic without Murray is still a solid playoff team though

Bukmeikara

Solid like being swept solid?

Not__Great__Bob

second round at least ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

Technical_Towel_990

Solid like getting his team to the playoffs. Some guys can’t you know

ItsAllJokes1

Got him

TennisShoulder

The season where Murray played for all but the last month?

Nyrobotsteve

The season where he lead them to a series win with campazzo and rivers as his back court while other players couldn’t even beat a 9th seed to make the playoffs 🤷‍♀️

TennisShoulder

Didn’t the Nuggets lose the first game to the Blazers if looking at a best-of-one scenario? And the original comment was about making the playoffs

Nyrobotsteve

Good thing they were playing a best of 7 against the 5 seed and not a best of one against the 9 seed then. My comment was also about a team not making the playoffs?

WoodJablomi

Solid like making the playoffs in 2020

kingofnick

Solid like made it out of the first round solid. Some teams didn’t even make it out of the play in…

imatworksorry

Solid like "not getting bounced out of the play-ins" solid.

dragerfroe

GSW right now.

bronet

Nuggets without Jokic are the Sixers without Embiid

pvp1102

Nuggets without Jokic are arguably worse tbh

bronet

I'd agree with that, at least if you don't count Murray and Simmons

JewOrleans

They scored 48 fucking point in the first…..

MTing1315

The Suns have won 12 in a row and no one is talking about them.

TwoWayMarko

we got munder’d

NuclearMinimalism

This one don’t really count, all your good players were out.

Thnikkkkaman

That first quarter tho

jack64467

Smeevy

We don't want any trouble. Just tell us what you want and we'll do it. No one has to get hurt here.

attentionyou

If you have an extra right wrist, left ACL, spine, and a few ankles that would be nice, baby

Wordonmystreet

It was just a super negative and unnecessary comment to imply the suns stars will get seriously injured.

Guisto47

Maybe he knows something we don't

[deleted]

Wordonmystreet

“Enjoy it while you can.”

attentionyou

That getting to watch your good players is more fun than getting to watch your end of bench guys? Is that a controversial thing to say?

skipaBturner

It wasn't, people here have just misinterpreted what you said, which has been entertaining to read

sombor_shuffle

That they should enjoy it

Shame_Low

Ehh no biggie, Suns are good but I still wana play them in the playoffs fully healthy, preferably in the wcf, its either them or warriors

HesiPullup

Yes please, I'd so much rather play you guys than the Warriors, Utah, or Clippers with Kawhi

CarryTheHellOn

Fr Cp3 would just put Jokic in a blender all series again lol

Nyrobotsteve

Cp3 could destroy nuggets injury riddled g league level back court*

Shame_Low

who knows maybe u guys can get an injury on each star on those teams again, worked out the last time, stick to what works

HesiPullup

True and hopefully you guys can get a decent playoff run in before the MPJ contract completely fucks the future of this team by not allowing you to get any good role players to surround Jokic and Murray lmao

Shame_Low

True and hopefully you guys can get a decent playoff run in before chris paul retires. I guess we won't see u guys in 2 years time. Better hope for the injury god blessings again.

HesiPullup

Yeah because it's not like we have the EOTY, arguable COTY, one of the deepest rosters in the league, and a guy who is scoring like 73% in the clutch right now. If you think CP3 retiring will make this (still young) Suns core go away, you're gonna be shocked 😳

Shame_Low

Not really by then I would really really wish to play u guys in the playoffs lol

HesiPullup

Me too and I hope MPJ actually gets to play so that he can get us some free points in the P&R over and over and over and over again lmaoo

kingofnick

I felt bad for MPJ in that series. Book and CP3 were practically giggling when he was switched on to them.

Shame_Low

that's okay though if we have murray to counter this time.

HesiPullup

Defensive specialist Jamal Murray, yep. And in the NBA today you can basically get any switch you want.

p0tatoman

At this rate, MPJ will be retired before Chris Paul

DJ_Pop_Tart

Sounds like a petty child upset over the loss. Drink your chockie milk and take a nap young man

Coke_ButNotTheDrug

Healthy Nuggets win in 6.

HesiPullup

You guys got beat down by an average of 18 ppg lmao. You are severely overrating Jamal Murray if you think that. The bubble was an anomaly, just like how it was an anomaly for a number of other players.

Coke_ButNotTheDrug

Jamal was having statistically the best season of his career before he went down. There’s no reason to think he wouldn’t have had another great playoff run. Anomaly or not, dude is a 20ppg+ guy in the playoffs, and an overlooked defender. Plus the season series was pretty evenly matched, two OT games so I do think it could’ve gone either way. Suns are good but they don’t beat a healthy Nuggets team in less than 6, and vice versa.

sunsbr

One of these OT games Booker got injured and he didn't even played in the other. Or the injury excuse only works for Denver? Suns are just better deal with it the earlier you accept it the better.

HB3187

The bubble WAS an anomaly yes. Dropped 20 5 and 4 the year before the bubble in the playoffs though. Maybe it's just a double anomaly

HesiPullup

On 53.4% TS lol

Whit3boy316

You’re never healthy

sunsbr

Suns in 5 at worst sorry Murray is not the guy you think he is.

HB3187

Good thing it wasn't just murray?

sunsbr

Wait? So you think PJ Dozier is turning a easy sweep into a series win? Lmao the delusion.

HB3187

Dozier, Barton, Murray Morris.....Rivers, Facu Morris Which group do you think does better? You saw the regular season. Do you honestly believe you'd run through a healthy nuggets, Lakers or clippers team?

HesiPullup

What do the Nuggets do to stop CP3 or Book/Ayton P&R? Those guards don't change the reason you guys got absolutely cooked last year defensively

Nyrobotsteve

They absolutely do Facu and Rivers couldn’t stay in front of CP3 or book or fight through screens at all. Jamal and Barton are much better defenders not to mention Dozier. There’s a reason Murray is 13-2 against the suns all time he cooks them

HesiPullup

Or it's because most of his career the Suns were dog shit?

Nyrobotsteve

And the current nuggets who are the only nuggets the suns can beat consistently aren’t dogshit with all their injuries? The nuggets weren’t dogshit when they were forced to play a g league backcourt in campazzo and rivers in the second round of the playoffs? Murray is a suns killer. He cooks d book every single time. Any suns fan who’s watched this matchup over the years could tell you that. Murray actively looks to switch on him and cook him.

HesiPullup

Jamal has not faced this Suns team. This Suns team has consistently been top 5 in defense since we got CP3. I'm not sure what you are trying to argue here

HB3187

The same thing they did during the regular season wins?

HesiPullup

Are you talking about last year when we had just gotten CP3?

HB3187

Yes? I'm referring to the year leading up to the playoffs. You make it sound like the suns just absolutely ran through the nuggets healthy or not because we simply cannot stop you. Would we beat you with our best defensive guards, 2nd star and a non g league backcourt? Maybe. Would it be anywhere close to a sweep by PHX? Hell no

HesiPullup

I wouldn't be too confident beating the Suns at the beginning of last year, got off to a reallllly slow start trying to get CP adjusted into the system

sunsbr

Of course suns are a better team than the Lakers and Nuggets being injured doesn't mean they are better. Especially Denver they are not close to the suns level.

pvp1102

Nuggets without Murray beat y’all earlier in the season it’d be a series to 7 if both teams were healthy

Nyrobotsteve

He’s even better man cooks Booker https://www.landofbasketball.com/games_between/devin_booker_vs_jamal_murray.htm

Killerinyou

big dub boss man

MortalTwit

It was a blowout. So why did Bones only play 2:20?
