How Scott Foster's entering the arena game 3 [https://imgur.com/a/mJQh2Ns](https://imgur.com/a/mJQh2Ns)
Scott "the equalizer" Foster is Eric Robets's evil twin
I would fucking die if they start doing ref walk-in clips like they do the players, except every ref has to be dressed extra AF… I’m talking full blown Westbrook attire.
I can hear him coming to the mavs stadium with stone cold steve Austin's entrance theme and is delighted to screw with CP3 once again
Sim888 got the accuracy of Chris Paul in the 4Q of a playoff game
You know it's coming.
Whatchu say Chuck?
Lmaoo you had this one geared up
I feel like you’ll get a lot of use out of this one though
BAAAAHHHHHGHHH MY GOD!!
IS THAT SCOTT FOSTERS MUSIC PLAYING?!?!?!?
SCOTT FOSTER JUST HIT CHRIS PAUL WITH TWO TECHNICALS
HERE COMES SCOTT FOSTER!
I don't think Ayton played at all since he got his 4th foul early in the 3rd quarter, and it made no difference.
Javale got his 5th and stayed in and played well then Biz came in and played well and then that obliteration happened and there was no need to ever put ayton back in. Major positive letting him get some extra rest, our star backcourt duo took over
So, turns out Brunson didn't turn to Prime AI after all. He was just being defended by Mitchell.
This is what happens when the best team in the NBA faces their best matchup in the playoffs
mfw spain pnr doesn't work for the 50th time
It's hard to run Spain PnR against a team that runs it more and knows it better
And has no weaknesses on defense like utah does
when you get 3 defenders involved, usually one of them makes a mistake. not with the suns unfortunately
And the Suns are the team that uses and understand this play the most in the NBA. And its not close. The team has been doing it for 3 year and it has been the main offensive motion for the team since Monty became the coach.
Legit, the suns Spain P&R has like 10/15 different variations and a seemingly infinite amout of counters. Its absolutely insane.
I'm proud the Pelicans put up a good fight against the Suns.
I pray for Zion's health
Honestly I think that A. Y'all were better than your record B. Were a tough match up for us and C. Helped make us better.
Willie Green had that team clicking and BI is legit and deserves flowers. Pelicans can play
Willie Green also knows all our secrets.
Pels couldn't just be trash to help us out a bit smh
Pels were a sneaky good team peaking at the right time. I would not have been surprised to see them win against any other team in the west in the first round.
Unfortunately for them this suns team is really fucking good.
I still think it would have been a surprise if they beat the Warriors/Grizzlies
But they are definitely better than the CURRENT Nuggets and CURRENT Jazz for sure. They would have given the CURRENT Mavericks roster a more tougher series than the bum Jazz
Dominant. On the bright side for you guys though, you won't have to pay very much to keep Brunson anymore
that’s one positive long term
The imcompetence of the Jazz really overshadowed how much our team relies on Luka to do anything.
Kicking them while they’re down!
Mavs fans weren’t lying when they said brunson was gonna get exposed this series goddamn
He's a top-tier 6th man. Just like everyone they got aside from Luka
The Mavs really got the best bench in the NBA. The problem is Luka is their only starting-caliber player
They have a starting rotation of the best bench players in the nba
He actually played well against us in the regular season, wasn’t expecting this.
When you’re that height, you hafta be able to shoot the 3 and pass in the lane. Mavs need more plays rolling off of him driving in the paint
Yeah. Cuz the suns got a lot of good defenders. And length defenders. Which is his biggest weakness. He solid. But not a number two.
Suns' game plan:
* Do pretty well in first half
* Gain some separation in the 3rd
* Put on a master class in the 4th
52-0 when leading after 3 is a scary fucking stat.
CP3 is a master. JJ Redick talks with him about time management and the man is ahead of a lot. It’s comprehensive.
Jayson Tatum talking about learning what a 3 for 2 is from CP3 is a fun story
That’s what it was. It’s like 90 seconds or a minute and JJ is like wtf are you talking about
Eerily similar to the 2020 Lakers who went 57-0 when leading after 3.
Goddamn, I remember they made it around 50 too, I didn’t know it went to 57. That’s wild both teams dominated that hard. Over half of a season’s worth of being undefeated is some real shit.
‘Twas great times lol. Nowadays I automatically assumed the Lakers would blow a lead whenever they were winning by double digits...
Wait so we just played our regular season game plan. Who knew it was that easy.
my lord I forgot they got so much
CP was washed. Had to get rid of the contract and they needed to keep Harden happy! Wait...
we are fortunate af Cp3 didnt end up with the Lakers and Bron with AD
God, poor Houston. The Vegan Point God took that personally.
What a disappointing 4th quarter. Luka's defense is front and center but his load is too high. It's like Kobe 2006 levels.
Brunson and Dinwiddie just... woof. Luka might be the one targeted the most but they haven't been much better on defense and they're completely cratering on offense.
The Suns chose to target Luka but they could've targeted any of the 3.
We have no chance against this Suns team. Never did.
you need a center man . Horrible rebounding and rim protection
Put Boban in! Cowards
I think that Pelicans series made people forget about how great this team really is esp when fully healthy
I think people were underestimating Willie Green’s Phoenix connection for how well the Pels had the Suns figured out. The Pels are definitely legit and going far next season, but I think Green‘s grasp of Phoenix basketball really made that series extra tough for them.
This. Green knows the Suns. The Pelicans worried me a lot more than the Mavericks.
People don’t realize how much the Pels improved BEFORE they added CJ. Their season record was very misleading. Gonna be scary when Zion comes back.
The first 25 games of the season is not the same Pelicans team that killed it down the stretch, I don’t care if they were wearing the same jerseys or not.
Damn, the Jazz are terrible
It could be worse, bro.
Sorry neighbor, I wish you guys a speedy rebuild
We went from down 4 with 10:37 to go, to down 27 less than six minutes later. What the fuck man 😭
Suns are a great team that also happens to have our number, it's brutal
they didnt even use the method of choice by attacking the rim, they beat mavs at a game mavs usually can defend. thats devastating
I mean a lot of it is the roster. The Suns have enough decent-to-very good players in all positions that they can spell the Guards and Ayton. I feel for Luka who has to carry the entire team on his back.
Suns went 4-4 from deep in only 86 seconds of game clock in the middle of that 4th quarter 20-2 run.
3 of those (in a row) from Devin Booker. Absolutely brutal.
I think that Booker kid is going to make something of himself one day
Mavs be having a good game and then BOOM; 4th quarter Suns emerge to end this game in the blink of an eye, courtesy of Cp3, Book, and elite defence
Booker with 3 threes in only a minute of game clock.
That whole quarter was soul crushing. Paul completely took over. Him and Booker just couldn't miss and the Mavs shooting disappeared. I was feeling so good all game and would have been happy with a close loss
Not like this...not like this
Ya Book went to the bench and then cp3 took over and then cp3 went to the bench and then book took over. That quarter had to be an extremely rough watch for Mavs fans
Those threes sounded like "Fuck" "You" "Mavs" as they swished in
well, i’d argue mavs have the best player in the series… but the suns have 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and maybe 7.
if i may give an analogy, luka is viktor krum, while the suns are ireland.
Krum gets the triple double but loses the game
Krum gets the Snitch for 150 points but they were down 200, still loses lmao
Thankfully for my health there’s no 150 pt golden snitch
Unless that snitch is Scott Foster…
May the 4th quarter Suns be with you
and also with you
*and with your spirit
30-7 run in under 7 minutes. Took all our hopes and castrated them on live tv
Kidd not calling a timeout when CP3 was going Chef Bourdee on Luka was on Glenn Rivers and Nate McMillan territory of bad coaching decisions
I was so confused seeing Kidd just watching his dude get chopped up out there like that.
It often felt like initiation for Luka the way he held back that timeout.
Don’t forget Finch when he just let the Wolves blew a 20+ points lead in a quarter
Let's forget that. K thx
I have to let you know, it’s Boyardee
That stretch where Luka was getting targeted on every possession was brutal. Completely blew the game open.
[Adam Silver is putting Scott Foster on a plane to Dallas as we speak](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EQdeaL7X0AEYBYA.jpg)
Execute order 66
Revenge of the 6th incoming.
If we thought we had a lot of ref action, we still have a CP3 vs Scott Foster game ahead of us.
Why didnt the Mavs play zone?
They did. DFS pushed Bullock into the ground lmao
Cuz they only missed 6 shots in the second half lmao
Those small ball minutes from the Mavs to end game 1 were absolute fools gold. It let us put him in the action every time.
Luka trying to carry the offense and also guard 4th quarter CP3 is the 13th Herculean task
This is how you defend Luka. Too offensively good so you tire him out and then play him 1-1 defense.
He's a fantastic player, and I think he will improve next season.
last game was a look at boxscore after the game and think it was close game, today was a look at the boxscore and think it wasn't close game lol
That run was for everybody that said the first game was close because the final margin was 7
It was a 1 point game when I needed to take an emergency shit, I come out and it's a 27 point game. I was like "what the fuck happened here?"
Goes to show that the Suns weren’t necessarily bad in the first round - it’s just that Pelicans are legit
Truth. The Pelicans need one more piece and they're going to be a very good team for a long time, as long as their idiot owner doesn't screw things up.
They have Zion and a lottery pick, keep an eye on them for sure
Biyombo with 18 min, 100% FG, +- +12
Donating entire salary to charity.
My friend I was watching with doesn’t like bismack, I love bismack. When he came in he said how do you like this guy, I just told him to watch, he now loves bismack.
Suns in the finals are going to make some people on here upset
I dont like how everyone is acting like its over, Series doesn't start until you win on the road
The Suns stopped trying in the 4th quarter of Game 1.
The Suns started trying in the 4th quarter of Game 2.
I bet Mavs fan are willing
Eh, if any Mavs fan legit thought we were beating the Suns, who have absolutely dominated us for a few years now, they're probably still thinking Mavs in 6.
Odell just casually walking out with 2 thick ass girls lol
Dude is living the life
for the curious and scientific minded https://twitter.com/ClutchPointsApp/status/1522074280946634752
Lol yeah he was hurt for most of the SB but he still got a very important TD for the Rams.
"OBJ got good seats tonight." that was fkn hilarious
I have vastly underrated the Suns. They are the favorites.
Second team in playoff history to shoot >50% for 8 games straight (only 8 games played so far). The first being the 84’ lakers who went 10 games
Welcome to the light
CP3's birthday is on Friday. That and no games being played tomorrow makes me think the NBA is gonna send him the gift of Scott Foster for game 3
My birthday's a day after CP3's. If Scott Foster comes to my house after Game 3, I blame this comment.
Should I cancel the Scott Foster Cameo I ordered for you then too?
That fourth quarter was a live execution.
Honestly one of the most depressing quarters I’ve ever watched as a fan. Just nonstop 3s being rained and Luka being hunted on defense while we bricked everything on the other end
Chris Paul's gamer tag:
#Let Me Solo Luka
Chris Paul went straight nuclear
That should’ve been rated NSFW.
They cooked Luka on national TV.
The Mavs shot **41%** from 3 (17/41) and lost by 20 points. Good lord Phoenix is terrifying.
Championship is theirs to lose.
Suns shot nearly 20% better than the Mavs overall. That's an insane spread.
Mavs defense ain’t offering much resistance really. Suns just have too many layers.
CP3 is on another planet right now. He just doesn't miss anything. Stupid Pelicans waking you guys up, I at least wanted a couple feel good wins in this series. The Suns are just too talented and too deep.
That Pelicans series was not fun to watch but I agree that it reawakened a PHX team that hada bit of coasting a bit since the last few weeks of the season. Didn't recognize the team for a while there.
Holding our 2 wins in our series against them with pride lol
"Won 2 games vs Suns " Banner is already up at the New Orleans Smoothie King Center
You guys are probably the 4th or 5th best team in the western conference playoffs tbh.
I think Pels would beat Nuggets and Jazz and had a close series with Mavs and Wolves
to be fair they shot like 50% in the first half, regressed back to the mean in the second half
This is why the suns kept letting doncic get whatever switch he wanted offensively and operating 1 v1. While making it a pt of emphasis to just target him defensively repeatedly through 2 games. Mavs had to move to a zone in the 4th quarter Doncic could barely even walk. As much $$ as Brunson made himself last rd, he's giving it back right now
Mavs just gotta ditch the Powell thing and start Kleber in game 3. Gotta use your length to be more aggressive with help around the elbows and nail area that's where so much of the Suns offense specifically runs through (Bucks did a good job with this in the Finals last yr, crowd CP3 passing lanes this way also). Theyve tried doing it, forcing CP3/Booker to the baseline its your best chance, just way easier said than done(and they still made shots their anyway). Cant just keep conceding the switch the Suns want also so willingly. Might also do what Draymond was saying(and what they did the 2nd half game 1) and put DFS on CP3 and Bullock on Booker.
Jae Crowder looks alot better now. Spencer Dinwiddie.....does not. Edit [damn 1.72 PPP huh](https://twitter.com/haralabob/status/1522077205748084738?s=20&t=mMvZ1Qt8b0yUKfywhB7oDg)
Putting Bridges on Bruson is just shutting down their secondary options
People were sayin the suns wouldn't shoot over 50% again so they shot over 60% instead
It’s against all known laws in our universe
This is beyond science...
it’s criminal how much money the Suns might end up costing Jalen Brunson this offseason
I was crucified last time I said it, but I'll say it again: the current Mavericks are failing in the exact same manner the Cavs did Lebrons 1st go around. Same recipe for disaster. They have way too much money committed to a bunch of "meh role players". People talk crap after the fact, but those Cavs teams at least had a few all stars, a finals run & two 60 win teams. I don't see that with the Mavs & even though Luka is locked up....they're wasting years on his career.
Looks like the Suns are gonna let Luka do whatever he wants on offense for the first half and then attack him on defense relentlessly in the second half.
Dude was gassed
Is Brunson good or are the Jazz that bad?
I can’t even be mad. Best team in the league played out of their mind tonight.
Left with TWO baddies
Don’t give a shit about posting or karma, but one of y’all should post about the suns having every single player who shot be above 50% from the field. I can’t imagine that’s common. I’d even guess it’s never happened. The odds on that must be nearly 0%
Wow. Yeah, that's damn near impossible
That is actually nuts
Had to scroll too far for this
There were 54 combined fouls called
That first half had the most fouls I’d ever seen. And most of them were offensive too, it was insane like every play for a solid 5 minutes
I was listening on the radio and it sounded like the suns had four offensive fouls in a row. 2 by cp3. Was it as crazy as it sounded?
Yes. It was the most insane stretch of basketball I’ve ever seen. I still have no idea what happened or why.
Suns were in the bonus in the second quarter with 9+ minutes left. That first half was cancer
Mikal Bridges had a +/- of +31.
Of course he did, he's the only player in NBA history.
“He’s not tired!” screams Reggie Miller about Luka Doncic, shortly before Chris Paul dribbles by him on his way to the hoop for the 18th time in the fourth quarter.
He's been insufferable. We have endured 8 straight games of Reggie Miller in this playoffs. It's time to start a petition.
CP3 and Book combined for 58 points on 62 percent shooting. That is absolutely insane.
4th Quarter Game 1: Suns downshifted and eased off the gas to play the clock.
4th Quarter Game 2: "DO YOU LIKE!!! MY CAR!!!???"...
Damn new record for number of fouls in a game
If cp3 keeps playing the way he has and the suns win it all, it will be one of the greatest individual playoff runs of all time.
Haha man seeing Jared Dudley there reminded me of the time I was trying to get Amar'e to sign my Amar'e Stoudemire hat and Dudley came over casually, signed the hat, and left. Funniest thing that happened to me that day
Suns shot 65% this game, ngl the Dallas mavericks front office should be ashamed of themselves for building this team around luka.. No 2nd option, no real paint presence and also inconsistent role players.. Horrible way to build around for the first 4 years of luka prime..
That turned into a blowout so fast
If Bismack has a million fans I am one of them. If Bismack has ten fans I am one of them. If Bismack has only one fan, then that is me. If Bismack has no fans, that means I am no more on the Earth. If the world is against bismack, I am against the world
We need to flip Brunson. He's too damn small and will be an overpaid non-factor if we don't pull a sign and trade or trade him next season. He overperformed last series against a shit Utah perimeter defense.
I think we can all agree when I say Fuck the Refs right? Didn't let either team get into a rhythm.
I have never in my years watching the NBA seen anything like that stretch in the 1st half where they called like 6 straight offensive fouls on the most ticky tack crap. And in the playoffs no less.
Truly hard to watch
The Mavs are gonna be one of the 5 most expensive teams in the league next season and yet they have like 5 guys who can play serious minutes in the playoffs. Just god awful roster construction
My favorite part: almost all playable dudes were already in Dallas before Luka and JB got drafted. We had 4, years to build and the result is one Reggie Bullock and the loss of picks with nothing else to show for.
Who are they paying besides Luka? They ain't worth it.
Bertans & Spence were picked up because they break up what we were paying KP.
THJ also makes like 15-20 iirc? I think the plan was to try and offload them this off season since getting rid of KP would be nearly impossible with how much he costs. Just dumping Bertans would save us good money
You just aren’t gonna beat a team like the suns with Jalen Brunson as your 2nd best player. He’s averaging 11 points this series (on 37 TS%)
In a just world Donnie Nelson would be awoken everyday by Luka punching him in the face
Luka was ripped apart at the end. Just too gassed from initiating everything on offense.
CP3 opened the game up
Book finished it
Book cracked it open in the 3rd too
